Read Rita Priyal's Success story
Rita Priyal is a farmer since 15 years. She lives in the village of Pachmane when she brings up her two children with her husband. When she began her activity she was earning 70 000 rupees per year that were mostly reinvest on the purchase of raw materials.
Six years ago from now, she decides to unit with others farmer women of the community and they fund the « Jitpurphedi Women Agriculture Cooperative Ltd » in order to improve their living conditions with the support of VIN that integrated this project on its women empowerment program, they managed to make the cooperative viable. Today Rita is 33 years old and she is an involved board member of the cooperative. She finished without difficulty to pay back the loan of 20 000 that she took last year. Thanks to this loan, she could diversify her production which allowed her to increase her income of 40%. With the profit she gets from her activity, she can send her children to school and she is also able to save money every month. She keeps this save as a security to which she can resort in case of need. Rita brought more comfort to the home buying diverse domestic goods. Rita’s family support he from the beginning of her project and they don’t lament it as all the family beneficiate of better living conditions thinks to Rita. She is happy to have been able to do that for herself ad for her family and she is proud of the worked she achieved. She needn’t to take another loan for now but she knows this is an option in case of need. By now she wants to focus on working on her field but convinced by the utility of the services proposed by the cooperative, she wish to involved further more on its development.
